Hemoglobin "lives" inside of our red blood cells. It is responsible for transporting oxygen to every part of our body. If we were void of hemoglobin, we are void of life. Each hemoglobin molecule is responsible for transporting 4 oxygen atoms. The oxygen atoms are picked up at the alveoli of the lungs. At this point the "red blood cell leaves the arteries and moves into the tiny capillaries deep in the body tissues, and the environment around the red blood cell changes." In these areas of the body, it is much warmer, and more acidic due to the carbon dioxide. All of these signals tell the hemoglobin molecules inside the red blood cell to release oxygen. In return, the hemoglobin picks up carbon dioxide for its return back to the lungs. Your red blood cells will repeat this process thousands of times in its 120 day life span. Iron poor blood is directly related to hemoglobin because of its nucleus. The nucleus of hemoglobin is iron. In fact, "without the four essential iron atoms in a hemoglobin molecule, the other 10,000 atoms in the molecule are useless."
The central nucleus of most chlorophyll molecules is magnesium. When carefully examining illustrations of the two molecules you will see striking resemblances. Dr. Hans Fisher and a group of his associates received the Noble Prize for their work on red blood cells. "The scientists noticed that human blood, which carries oxygen to all our cells, is practically identical to chlorophyll on the molecular level."
And, in 1930, Dr. A Zin showed that an injection of chlorophyll increased the red blood cell count of animals that displayed a normal, healthy hemoglobin count. Dr. J.H. Hughs and A.L. Latner reported in the Journal of Physiology in 1936 that animals that they purposely made anemic were able to regenerate their hemoglobin levels 50% higher than average, and were able to approximate their previous blood values in just two weeks. The scientists then concluded in their report that: "It seems, therefore, that the animal body is capable of converting chlorophyll to hemoglobin."
The best chlorophyll to use for this purpose is raw, crude, unrefined chlorophyll. This can be found in wheatgrass juice in alarming amounts.
